Ungodly Heathen Nekid Bastard Children - Get Nekid, Get Happy!

Wish I had her job

Anna in her SwimsuitSo, add this Time employee to my list of people who should not look a gift horse in the mouth.  Yeah, she is kinda cute, but I just can’t find it in me to support someone who gets upset about free porn?  I can’t get my company to let me look at these images of the girls in Friday Night Lights posted over at Rumors and Rants, let alone something more risque like the SI swimsuit stuff.  Where you can also download a free swimsuit calendar.  Well I guess there is no pleasing some people.  I’d write more, but I’m still looking at my calendar.

  1. I haven’t read through the TIME blog, but I thought I would just comment that the SI swimsuit issue is not porn. I’m not saying that I agree or disagree with her rant, but I’m just saying that the swimsuit issue is not porn. I’ve seen porn. It’s definitely not porn.

  2. Money:

I’m inclined to agree, but each person sees the world in their own unique way. Justice Stewart while passing judgment from the U.S. Supreme Court said that pornography is hard to define, “but I know it when I see it”. The argument could be made that the SI swimsuit issue is not intended to sell or advertise swimsuits, but rather is an excuse to present beautiful women in as little clothing as possible. To some that’s pornography.

To me it’s just a darn fine idea.

I must agree. I’ve seen porn. I don’t think I would qualify the tasteful images in the SI swimsuit issue as such.

While you might make up for the wishy washy first part of your post

“each person sees the world in their own unique way” blah blah blah,

I tend to agree it is a darn fine idea. But, only when used correctly.
